Re: The Execution of Talo [CYOA]
hey Talo, uh, was your right eye always red like this? (EDIT: seems it's been from the start but I never noticed. is that... normal?)
I think we probably shouldn't wait around too long. Once you feel solid enough to get back on your feet you should see if the way out is clear, and take your new ally with you. Or perhaps, ask them where to go next.

From a hygeine perspective, it may be worth healing up that wound to reduce the odds of infection later. The ruin is probably not the most hygeinic place in its current condition, despite being a former pharmaceuticals building.

// i reread the past few posts and am thinking talo would probably get up and moving, to explore more of the ruins.
// he isn't exactly in a rush, but like clef said, we can't stay here forever.
// the wounds should probably be cleaned and covered up too.
// now that the REYECEPTION robot has joined with talo, we could perhaps get some better directions.
// maybe ask about what all that fuss was? but not yet, i think.

You let out a deep sigh. The ruins are not the cleanest place, so it would be best to keep yourself in the best condition, no?niasssu wrote: 29 Oct 2025, 19:20 // i reread the past few posts and am thinking talo would probably get up and moving, to explore more of the ruins.

You gradually raise your claws up to your snout.
You channel your magic. You focus your mind. The way you cast spells... you focus on a point. A target.
With a blade, you focus on the metal to channel the elemental magic. With a gun, you focus in the chamber. With healing... you focus on the wound. And the light between your claws show it is working.
It is working, and the wound is warming up. Flesh is knitting. Healing magic is not your expertise, but small spells are important to know.
Your eye itches. It twitches. You stare at the wound down at your snout. You focus on the wound. You desire to blink, but you keep staring.
The wound continues to feel warm. It is working. Your eye feels dry. You need to blink. But you don't. The need to itch begins to hurt. Your eye itches. Your wound itches. You ignore it.
The warmth increases. The wound is looking the same. Nothing... is getting better. You channel more magic.
The warmth begins to heat up. The heat begins to burn. Nothing is changing.
You become concerned. Your wound burns. You try to stop the flow of magic, but it does not cease. Your eye burns. You try to blink. You cannot blink. You pull back your talons but the fire burns.
The wound burns. The eye burns. The fire burns. It burns.
It burns.
itburnsitburnsitburnsitburnsitburns
You force your eyes closed. You sever your magic connection. Your press your hand up to your burning right eye. The eye is the source of the heat. Not the magic.
The eye sears your senses. The burning speads to your core. Your wound burns hot. Molten.
But the burning heat cools down to a warmth. A relaxed warmth. Almost as if it feels normal.
You feel warm. The sterile cool tile beneath you, and the damp air is forgotten. The warmth feels... warm. Your right eye is is the center of it all.
You... right eye...? It is red? No. It, it can't be. Why are you thinking about this now. You have always been keen to check on every expedition, every dive. Even without Mistle here, you have been doing your best to check. Every time. Your eyes are yellow. Yellow with orange pupils. You checked the mirror... when was the last time you checked the mirror.ClefdeSoll wrote: 23 Apr 2025, 21:13 hey Talo, uh, was your right eye always red like this? ... Maybe it is a cognitive affliction? One that you personally can't see??
You force open your left eye, pressing your hand deep against your right one.
Quick. Just answer this, what colour are my eyes?
You display a notably atypical case of heterochromia, with an eye with yellow sclera and an orange pupil, and another with pink sclera and magenta pupil. Such cases would normally be a curious interest for our business, in better circumstances. I also commend you on the quick cauterization of your wound. How would you have rated the ease and pa-
A pink eye... pink and magenta. You let out a groan. A curse? Of course. Of course you encounter a curse now of all things.
You have dealt with a fair share of curses before. But you always been with Mistle to keep an eye on eachother as well. Standard adventurer training. Keep paired up, always reassess one another. See if anything in the eyes change, or the personality. Look out for atypical obssessions or personality quirks, too.
They can be exorcised pretty easily once identified, but that requires often returning back to civilization.
This one... this curse... it is still warming you to your core. But... how did you know about this curse? You weren't aware of it. No... you... you are certain you never had it before now. Did you catch a glancing reflection of yourself in a monitor or metal. Or...
... Something seems...
... like this isn't your normal inner voice.

Who are we, UHHH... observers rooting for you... don't worry... about it... you have more important things to focus on right now! Like getting out of here!
Re: The Execution of Talo [CYOA]
Idk if Talo is gonna believe you that we are chill and that he shouldn't focus on us LMAOClefdeSoll wrote: 19 Jan 2026, 23:21 you have more important things to focus on right now! Like getting out of here!
